I think it's outstanding and the stone is absolutely perfect for it!

Glad I wasn't the only one who thought it looked like something to shoot. Pretty awesome, and I think it's an outstanding idea to use this as a show piece. It's so different, I'm sure it will spur a lot of great conversations and interest. Thanks Dave! I think I'm going to try and keep track of how many "What the Heck?" questions I get on this one this weekend! LOL I think it's outstanding and the stone is absolutely perfect for it! Thanks Robin! I thought it was going to take me a while to find a "neutral" enough stone...but this one jumped right out at me.

No way. It has deer written all over it with textured and shaped wire to represent the antlers and a deer head centered. The way you textured the wire at the base of the horns was the first catch of the eye for me. The cab is bang on. There is tons of lady deer hunters down here that would scoop that up in a new york. Fellas would wear it too. Wonder if you could do the south bound end Jason lol ?

LOL I might have to try the southbound end next...I just need to look in the mirror for inspiration! LOL Oh my goodness is that stunning! I'm in awe of the skill in this group. Some amazing cabbing, wirework and jewelry making. Thank you so much! There are some amazing wraps if you look back through some of the old wire-wrapping threads. I've been inspired by some true artists on this forum! Thanks Amy! I think W.O.W. stands for Wire On Wire with this piece! LOL Thanks AM! I'm not sure how I pulled this off without my dog making me wash my mouth out with soap for as much as I swore during the making of this one! LOL (Trigger hates it when I swear...I think he's Mormon! LOL) This one looks very cool! Yeah I will be a bit worried if anybody is to wear it. Thanks PS! Definitely more of a display piece if anything on this one! Wow, that is fancy for sure. I think you did more than step out of the box, you stomped the box...lol Thanks Diane! Well...I do have a habit of wearing my steel-toe-boots all the time...so maybe I did stomp the box! LOL

Really cool wrap. I can see why it would give you fits! I'm curious how the sharpened antlers will work out and also curious how those antler base braided wrap things were done. Nice work! Nice job on the hammered wire too. I've started playing with that a bit. Yours looks nice and smooth and really adds to the piece. How was the show?

Oh...the antlers are a definite safety hazard! LOL - I've told anyone who looks at that it's more of a display piece than anything. Thanks on the hammering. I had started another wrap that called for hammering earlier last week. I hammered the sh!t out of that one...and it was a learning lesson as I basically destroyed the piece. I learned another lesson in "a little bit goes a long way"! LOL Just about to head out to go to the show for today's round. I'll do a show report tonight or tomorrow. It's been interesting...

rockpickerforever - You know...if they would have left a little more "detail" on that rear-end mount, they could have door knockers as well! LOL rockjunquie - Tela...am getting ready to start that thread here in a few minutes.
