I had to try and knock out this Madagascar Dendritic Agate wrap before the show on Friday. I figure it'll be more of a conversation piece than one to sell! Dang thing took me last night and a lot of today to finish it. Sheesh! LOL I'd seen a two-part tutorial on YouTube and have wanted to give it a go. Once again, I had to improvise on the wire as I didn't have what the tutorial called for using. Also, my cab is bigger than what they used...which caused more improvising! This is the first piece I've done any hammering on the wire. The perimeter wire and the nose tie-down were hammered. As always, thanks for taking a gander.

Thanks Vance! WOW...stands for Wonders Of Wrapping! LOL I am at a loss of words. Amazing. Can see why it too so long. Thanks Beth! I can't believe how much wire I wasted on this one! I kept messing up here and there and had to start several sections over...and over...and over! LOL WOW!!!! There's a little of everything there isn't there? Is that your first coiling? That's crazy cool!
Thanks Tela! Yep...first coil I've done as well as the first hammer-time! LOL - This is the coil the tutorial called for. I've seen better looking coils, which might have made it look a little better...but may not have been able to make as tight of a turn around the base. Rudolph Thanks Rick! You might not be far off with that...it almost went flying several times over the last two days! LOL

Definitely a conversation piece, definitely "in the season" piece,
definitely a lot of work piece But definitely cool .
You should make sure to give that one a nice display on the show table, maybe with a Christmas theme, certainly will get people looking.

Thanks Patty! Space is limited...so can only do what I can do as far as displaying any of them. I have three headless mannequin thingys...and this will be hanging on one of the three. Later today I need to see if I can hang two on each mannequin or if that'll look stupid. I've got all day to make tweaks to the setup. LOL

So I've thought this all morning & can't get it out of my head jasoninsd, how come Tela hasn't asked if those antlers would snag on something ?

I thought it went without saying. I just hope no one looses an eye!!! LOL! Clearly an art piece.
So, jasoninsd did you find a really good pencil sharpener for the ends of those antlers?

Now that I got over the Inital shock of how amazing this piece is, Let me add that this give me a "Elder Scrolls Skyrim" vibe. It very much looks like it would fit with the daedric Armor lore. Just an Awesome piece man. Wonder of Wrapping is right for sure!

You know you don't have to wait for Tela to bring it up...well...I guess you didn't really. LOL It's a great point (pun intended) to bring up. I think you're pondering it because of what was mentioned about the back of your most recent wrap. Is there a "snag" possibility with this? Without a doubt...in fact it's a probability with this piece...unless a tightly woven fabric is worn...and even then it would most likely happen. The difference between your piece and mine: With mine, it's upfront and known that this thing has a bunch of snag points. I think there's an understanding that there shouldn't' be any snag points "hidden" on the back of the piece since that's what is actually up against clothing or skin. Bringing new meaning to "8 point buck"! Very creative piece, Jason. Thank you Gary! Maybe next time I should go for "Da Turdy Point Buck"! LOL So I've thought this all morning & can't get it out of my head jasoninsd , how come Tela hasn't asked if those antlers would snag on something ?

So, jasoninsd did you find a really good pencil sharpener for the ends of those antlers? Thanks Tela! Yeah...this one is more of a "discussion piece" than anything. I am going to have it on display at the show...but there's no price attached. I'll explain that it IS a snag-hazzard...but if someone insists they have to have it, I'm sure I'd be willing to sell! LOL Only a mother would say " You'll poke someones eye out with that "

I tell you what...that dragon emblem they've got for Skyrim would make a killer looking wrap! I've got a dragon tutorial that I'll tackle one of these days. Well done, Jason, but Shaman needs a spear. : ) Thank you so very much Rich! I have seen some wire-wrapped swords (miniature version! LOL)...which is "close" to a spear! LOL

That thing is frightening, but I'm sure some nut case will try to wear it. Do they allow dangerous weapons at the show? Just kidding--amazing that you made it through, and an extraordinary job at that. It could readily be a refrigerator magnet for the weak of heart.

I kinda cringe at the thought of almost any of my cabs (or wraps for that matter) becoming refrigerator magnets! (That probably sounds pompous...but...I did say almost...because there are some exceptions I suppose! LOL) It's definitely not a piece that TSA would allow past screening! LOL

Glad I wasn't the only one who thought it looked like something to shoot. Pretty awesome, and I think it's an outstanding idea to use this as a show piece. It's so different, I'm sure it will spur a lot of great conversations and interest.
