jasoninsd if it's the stuff from the S Oregon coast range it's more like a possibly serpentine based material that really pops, but takes more of a shine than a polish. Met the mine owner in Prineville, very colorful fellow.

Searching Google just now, I found a thread from 2017 on another forum talking about this. Not much said about it other than coming from Oregon...and a photo which is a spitting image of the original post above.
