About a week after I did my End of Season Slabs post (https://forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/100369/end-season-slabs) at the beginning of October we ended up getting over a week of above average temperatures so I was like a squirrel gathering nuts for winter getting in the final slabs of the season. So here are the real end of season slabs!
First up is some Swiss Cheese with bacon on the top. The outside of the rough showed some indentations so I figured there may be some voids inside but I wasn't expecting this!

I showed this 1st pic in my Oct 30th "Agate Nodules!" post, but I forgot to show the slice I took off to get the face cut. The outside of the nodule was pretty flat where I cut, so the 2nd pic is basically a flat slab. I thought the squiggly lines looked pretty cool.

An unknown slab. I always like green colored rocks. The black lines are not cracks but heeled fractures.

A cool agate nodule with lots going on:

This was just a small chunk about 2 by 4 inches but I like the color and the contrast between the horizontal banding and the diagonal sweeping lines

Mossy with hints of Saganite going on:

File this under "Too Much of a Good Thing"! This has to be the Mahoganyist Mahogany Obsidian I've ever seen. I was hoping some more black would show up but I gave up waiting after a couple of slabs.

The next 2 pics are slabs from some rough I collected at Flint Ridge way back in 2016!

This next one is also Flint Ridge from 2016. I cut 1 slab and saw a bunch of hairline cracks so I didn't cut more even though the slab survived the cutting. It fell apart after coming out of a Simple Green soak to get rid of the oil! The 1st pic is the pieces Humpty-Dumpty'd back together so you get an idea of what the slab looked like off the saw and the 2nd pic is what I am left with!

I feel I should know the name of this one but it escapes me. All I can think is turquoise, but I don't think that is it. Piece is about 2 by 2.5 inches. A knife scratches it with force:

This is Amethyst and quartz but unfortunately the Amethyst is more gray than purple.

A piece of wonderstone:

The next 3 pics are Kona Dolomite. Three different chunks of rough show the variety of patterning which makes it interesting to cab

An unknown very busy jasper:

I want to call this Chicken Tracks but I don't know if that is the proper name:

Another unknown. The star burst patterns look better in person

And finally, a want-to-be orbicular jasper. Kind of the Charlie Brown Christmas tree of orbicular jaspers! I'm not sure it is really a jasper at all. A knife won't scratch it though
