This bugger was hard to photograph, had to get the color dialed in to really show it off.
Really didn't think it would've turned out this well, some of the layers were not as tough as others.
Probably going top 5 lake finds for me. Kind of reminds me of Mary Ellen Jasper I've seen on videos
I think I found this perusing the bins at the Rock Shed with jasoninsd really pretty (not Jason, the rock)
Not stoked with the finish on this Bot, I can see little bruises. Might throw it back in for a while
Group shot of some of the others

What's that first rock? Where did you get it? It looks like some rocks that I find in Lake Superior, but I don't know what they are. It doesn't look like Mary Ellen to me. It seems to have hematite or something similar in a layer near the top.

Chad Son Of Beach. “Mirror mirror on the wall”. Your shaping and polish are fantastic. Well done! I see a big improvement in your tumbling. Are you doing something different? Thanks for showing. I know it takes a while to post the pictures. I had an entire batch that didn’t have enough good rocks to post.

I'm being more patient I think, knowing when to move a stone on when it's peaked or holding onto to it when it needs that one or two more weeks. Some stones you are just crossing your fingers hoping they don't develop a spall (spar?)
Someone mentioned, maybe hankrocks or Drummond Island, maybe you , about letting the rock take its time to form nice curves, good advice. Most have been in for so long, what's another week or two?

Is this piece one you found over there, or is it Stone Canyon?

Is this piece one you found over there, or is it Stone Canyon? If I had to guess, that came from the mess box I got from Tommy about a year ago...still not thru everything.

Thanks khara . I'm still not 100% sure, but I'm thinking it's syringopora. I found another piece a while back that I made a thread about here. That piece had a much more solid matrix compared to this one. This one was more of a green that I knew from experience wouldn't tumble that well, but still turned out better than I hoped. Thank you pebblesky . Each batch has it's own little surprises and this one didn't dissapoint. It didn't think Jason would be to butt hurt about it. Despite the beard, I'm sure he's still an eye catch for the ladies.

The Botswana is magnificent! Nice find on that first one, great colors. I'm noticing an improvement on the shine too. Looking very good.
