Jean I've typed a message three or four times. We don't know why a lot of things happen as believers but we do know for certain a better place always awaits no matter your life here on earth. You are a blessing to us at rth and an unashamed believer in Christ. You will not lose hope or faith and you will have tenacity to overcome any obstacle no matter how perilous, for faith in Jesus removes all fear! We love you and I am lifting you up in prayer to our great physician. May he put the right doctors on the job to produce an outcome prosperity. Thank you for your unwaivering stance. GOD bless and merry Christmas. Johnny

God tells us to get into his car and go, hang on for the ride of our life. I'm game! I will go wherever He leads. A lot of things going on right now, but hopefully, surgery in a week. Thank you for your love, prayers, and support.

rockpickerforever Jean hang in there. I’m sorry to read everything that’s going on. It’s been a rough couple months here as well, and Christa’s having a major surgery tomorrow morning. I’ll be taking care of her as she would me, and as you’ve taken care of Bob as he will you. Bless you my friend.

Brian, I'm taking a quote where Jean put it in another thread and putting it here: Quick note - I was released (paroled? from the hospital this afternoon). I've been home since around 4:30. Took them forevermore, but they finally got the discharge papers ready. The house is a mess, large 4 foot by 4 foot (or more!) holes jackhammered into the slab of the garage. We can live with it like this for a little while. Was good to hear from you Brian. I hope Christa's procedure goes well tomorrow. Make sure you get some much needed rest in advance. Sending love and prayers to both you, hoping everything goes well. Jean, it's good to hear you were released from the hospital today.

Very good to hear you were released from the hospital today Jean! So much easier to heal/prepare at home. I'll be sending my thoughts and energy your way through the holidays, hopefully you'll be well on the mend by then.

Very good to hear you were released from the hospital today Jean! So much easier to heal/prepare at home. I'll be sending my thoughts and energy your way through the holidays, hopefully you'll be well on the mend by then. Thank you, stewdogg. Nice to be home. Just relaxing tonight, listening to my husband powering through a bag of Ruffles potato chips. A Bag rattling and crunching extravaganza. It's almost nine, bedtime will be here soon enough. I will most likely sleep well, without the all night long hospital activities keeping me up. Tomorrow I will turn on my desktop and pay some bills, as long as my brain fog doesn't try to take over again. Thank you for your thoughts and energy to get me through the holidays. I will however, be going back to the hospital for bloodwork (sodium levels) and later the surgery itself once they decide on a final plan. One nice thing about Christmas this year, they are saying San Diegans will be having a sunny, warm, wonderful Christmas. I'll take it. The surgery schedule is finally falling into place, coming together. Thank you, stewdogg. Between myself and all the RTHlings behind me, I feel invincible. Thank you for all the prayers from my RTH family. I love you all so much. And, of course, still praying for others on the forum having health issues as well. Please, please all get better now. And that's an order.

Jean is still doing well and waiting. The brain fog, as she calls it, comes and goes. She is home and contending with MAJOR plumbing issues in her slab home- you guessed it- jack hammers. Need I say more? Awful. Her and Bob are both stressed, understandably so. Surgery should be soon. Fingers crossed.

Maybe she'll check in and clarify.

My goodness. I’m a little late to see this. I hope you are feeling better Jean rockpickerforever. It sounds like you’ve been through a lot already. Hopefully getting to go home soon will get your life back to normal. Take care of yourself. Thanks for the updates.

I'm pretty sure what she has going on is from the tumor, but I could be wrong. Maybe just covid. Maybe she'll check in and clarify. That's certainly a possibility. Hopefully, it's just the c-word. Actually, it's both. I got hit with the double whammy on Dec 5, and got an ambulance ride to the ER. Stayed in the hospital until Dec 20, then they finally let me come home. I don't know how I have avoided it all this time, only to get it now. My neighbor is a Covid nurse, she brought it home, gave it to her son and her 80 year old mom, then I got it. I do still have a benign tumor in my noggin which should be removed, as it is putting pressure on my brainstem. I am on steroids to reduce the swelling, keep things opened up so the brain continues to be washed in the CSF. I am still being watched and tested, scans have shown it is not growing rampantly, if at all right now. They will continue and at some point, look at it some more, but not rushing into anything. I will be going back in for the surgery at some point. Until then, just resting up, trying not to do too much. Bob is busting his butt with all the plumbing mess and the worker's now, he is handling things admirably. On another note, we get our repaired truck back from the shop today, yay!

Pat, you need to order a Gilhoolie bottle opener from the Vermont Country Store for those times your strong neighbor isn't available to help. We have a similar item and we couldn't get by without it. They really put bottle and jar caps on tightly these days!
