Difficult, but I feel that as fellow RTHlings, I want to tell you, and ask for your goood wishes.
Husband just came home from the hospital. Again. I’m so glad he is here. He is on hospice care, but I am so glad he is home.
Anyhow, we could use all your good wishes. Thanks.

Pat I am so sorry. It is a difficult time made even more difficult by the holidays. I'm glad your husband can be at home with you. My sister cared for her husband in hospice, too. It was one of the most bittersweet and rewarding times of her life.
I will keep you, your husband and your big family in my thoughts and prayers.
One day at a time.

Pat, I heard from Jean, she says, "Sending up some prayers right away."

Being home must be good for your husband as well.
And not running to visit at the hospital, must come as a relief to you.
So we'll be thankful for the things we can

Best wishes. Life's challenges often don't ease with time, but our ability to cope may strengthen and I hope you find strength for your journey. You have many friends here.

Pat I’m so sorry to hear. I am newer here but have enjoyed seeing your input in various threads. I’m glad to know you have friends here and feel comfortable sharing this news. I hope that you will be able to enjoy some really nice time with your husband and that he is as comfortable as can be. I’m glad he’s at home with you rather than away in some hospital. Take care.

Thank you for your kind thoughts. They are greatly appreciated. He is on morphine now. Talking is hard; swallowing almost impossible. I’m trying to get a 24/7 caregiver here. Though iffy, we are all hoping he lasts till Christmas, or we will move Christmas to be sooner for him.
He asked for coffee this morning! Made me happy!
He is still the kind, wonderful man I married in 1964.
