We are planning to go to Glacier National Park, MT next year. There's not much in the way of hounding nearby by my research but I'll be going through Spokane to get there. For all you folks Rockhounding Washington state, what are your favorite books/resources for the eastern side of the state?
Since I'm in Central OR, I'll probably be using the WA references in the future as well. Thanks!!

Well, depending on your route through Washington, you could make a stop at Saddle mountain in Mattawa, WA (kind of south central) for some petrified wood. I use Gem Trails of Washington by, Gerret Romaine.

Ream is an author with a good gems and minerals book for wa I have and really like that book. Thanks for the suggestion. As for Gem Trails, I wasn't sure if it was still valid being that it's from 2012 I think... but I still use my GT for OR and ID. I will look up the location of saddle Mtn, I've heard lots about it. Thanks y'all!!
