Well after a 2 year hiatus from grinding I finally feel well enough to fire up the CabKing. My eyesight is starting to return to normal, and with my blood sugar under control, my energy level is through the roof as of late. I have spent a lot of time trying to organize my rock shop, and I finally got to the point where I can work on grinding comfortably. OK so what the heck is a free form oval? Well I got some Bahia agates from the Rock Shed, and despite them being rather small to cut, I did anyway lol. So this was just a slabette that went right to the grinder. Some creative use of the 60 grit flat lap to bring the edges down and then on to the wheels. I am so thrilled with how this turned out. THe first pic is the rough (not the exact slab but from the same rock I believe) The front: And the back. Yes I polished it as well. It felt great to work the wheels. I'm a bit rusty as this took me about 2 hours, but it came out great. I think I may drill it and add a chain to it and wear it. Thanks for taking a look!

Stefan, you being able to get back on the wheels had to have felt like Christmas morning when you were a kid! It looks to me like your eyesight returned to better than normal! In fact, you may want to be careful staring at that cab...the shine coming off that may burn your retinas! Fantastic job!!

That's a beautiful cab! Congrats on being able to work on the wheels again.
