We have safely reached our destination. We arrived Saturday but for some reason the forum would not load for me. I have to figure out how to get my tumblers rolling here as there is no 30 amp on the electric tower which my trailer is wired for. Maybe just an extension cord from the Motorhome to a surge bar but cant even think about tumbling until I play 5,000ish pick up. Yeah the contents of the trailer is all over the floor. One grit container broke open so there is that mess also. Glad we drained the saw before we left, can only imagine that mess. Stay safe out there everyone and tumble/cab on.

Sheesh!! Jason jasoninsdI did too! 😞 Electric and grit are the least of my worries. Like I told Patty I hope I know my rocks well enough to get them all back in the boxes they belong in.

Woot Woot for warmer weather!! Here's hoping you have smooth sailing on the upcoming adventure! (Which I hope isn't TOO adventurous! ) Smooth Sailing? More like the gales of November that took the Edmond Fitzgerald to her watery grave. If I get that disaster cleaned up in a weeks worth of days off I will be lucky. Hope my crazy lace slabs faired well.

Some people really like jigsaw puzzles...I'm guessing you're not one of those people! Well...there's always the "Rock ID" forum if worse comes to worse. It's one thing to have to put things away again (that's a loss of time though)...it's something even worse when there's a loss of material due to breakage...or the grit being lost! It just sucks to pull in and not be able to kick your feet up and relax. I am sorry for that...

I briefly looked at an RV site, for an idea to keep things on the shelves, but no mention of heavy stuff like rocks.
They seem most concerned with rattling bottles & shower shelves.
Personally I was thinking about solid fabric panels - if there is a way to attach them top and bottom (probably not).
Sigh..... well I hope this assignment lasts long enough that the mess (and clean up) becomes a distant memory

Now is a good opportunity to write the names of the slabs on the slabs - in pencil.

I never get to kick my feet up and relax..... well that's not altogether true. I spent 4 glorious days out in South Dakota meeting a crazy guy that shared his secret rocking spot. I have 13 weeks (April 15th current last day) to get it in order around meeting up with Tom Peruano here in the land of enchantment. I also have to wait for the park mgr to return from vaca to check our electric tower. The 120 outlet isn't working and even though we are hooked up to 50amp we are popping breakers if we run to much at a time. Can only imagine running 5 tumblers, slant lap/cabber and the panther what would happen. 🤔

He's definitely one to pick his brain about just about anything I imagine! You may have to hook up the secondary "hamster wheel generator" to boost the power!! (It would seem you still have to watch out for blowouts!)

Might it be some aventurine in your collection that got the others to jump and cause a ruckus?
