Someone (or two) already said "dog", so I"ll say shameless cur...! Then I'll say thank you for posting those photos. They're a treat to see.
The old-stock Carrasite in photos 6 and 7 are probably harder to find now than the Morrisonite. We've recently seen photos of the newer Carrasite, and it isn't nearly as nice as the original deposits. Newer stuff is from deeper down if I heard it right.

Photos dont do the carrasite slabs justice. Those are massive slabs too. i've been very blessed to have everything that I do and the amounts. Heres a cab out of that stuff.

Beautiful! Since Morrisonite and Carrasite are kissin' cousins, I love both almost the same.

realrockhound - Here are a couple that have been lying around here for a while.
Too bad the old-stock is mostly gone. Except for at your house. I chuckle and shake my head every time I try to imagine the things you find.

speaking of spendy stuff. I just took this pile of crap off the wheels this morning. I hate trying to photograph fire obsidian. But you can see it in there.

So is that one the Carrasite? khara - Realrockhound's pastel cab and our green ones are all Carrasite. Fairly wide range of colors used to be available.

That fracture across the front is pretty superficial. you can see it doesnt travel very far on the sides. My grandpa acquired that from Shirley Quant in a trade when I was a little kid. At that point in time, the chunk was $1000+. I dont know what was traded unfortunately.

From lots and lots and lots of looking around and comparisons, that grade is considered high with the best stuff at $6 a carat. from what i've seen priced, mine is approximately $5 carat material.

As far as your Carrasite cab, it does have the potential to be carrasite. The ONLY thing throwing me off, is the dendrites in it, or what appear to be dendrites. I've personally never seen any in Carrasite.
Just saw you edit after the post. lol

I see a little ritchterite, too. Is any of it gel? I have some gel cabs. NEVER parting with those. LOL!
