Here are most of my OJ slabs. I just thought I would post them again for anyone new who might be interested in seeing them.
Very rare red rare black OJ
This is massive.
This is one I might cut. I've been on the fence for a long time.
This is my most recent. There's a lot going on in this slab!!

Really nice OJ, Tela! I can't believe the prices of the original OJ now. We have a little, but not as much as you.

At first I thought Ocean Jasper was volcanic. It is Earthquake & Shock Wave Agate! Water bonds LOVE silica bonds and groundwater bonds grab the newly freed silica from quartz, agate, opal, whatever was in the area and becomes rivers of silica gel. The gel contains bits and pieces of all kinds of silica structure - whatever was in the area prospers and grows as it flows.

Thanks for sharing those. They are definitely drool worthy. My BIL/office manager has become fascinated with OJ. He just received an order yesterday but he's trying to cut slabettes out of large tumbling rough and precut obelisk. I'll be curious to see how that works out.

Beauties for sure!! You obviously bought a lot of that early on, some of that quality no longer shows up for sale often.

You can still find some of the touristy nick knacks pretty cheap. Some of them look good enough to cut.
Let us know how it comes out.

That last slab has a LOT going on. Boy it would be hard not to cut some cabs out of it. But fun to just look at
Did I already say I had no idea of the variety of OJ.

rockjunquie do you know the differences in the OJ from the different veins? I was looking at OJ yesterday online and lots of people were saying it was coming from the 7th or 8th vein.

I have a book that talks about it. I used to know the first few by looking at them, but I don't anymore. I know that the 8th is the newest, but I don't know how new it is. As far as I know, it is still mined out. ceanJasper.org has a little bit of info regarding veins. www.oceanjasper.org/QandA.html

Lovely! I really like the OJ, but it's way out of my price range. Had some green/yellow/red that was being auctioned off and the pieces were hundreds of dollars. Maybe if I ever get good enough to sell what I make lol...Very nice!
