Hello Everyone,
I have been using a Highland Park HT12 for a while now and am looking for recommendations on blade options. The saw came with Highland Park's Greenline Agate Eater. I really don't have too many complaints, I'm just curious if there are better blades? I am cutting with lapidary oil so obviously there is a benefit to using a thin kerf blade due to lack of debris. I assume there would also be less strain on the motor as it is cutting less material. What are the downsides? what brand would you recommend? Most of what I cut is agate, but not everything.

Advanta Tool on eBay sells sintered blades from S Korea that look identical to Barranca blades, just got a 14 for my slab saw and I've been buying their trim saw blades for awhile. Since the BD303 blades are also from S Korea I wonder if they're just unlabeled.

I'm on my second Greenline (dished the first one- totally my fault). I shopped around and just could not justify the prices on what I was finding. I'm going to check out those Advanta blades as I love Barranca blades (well except for the price lol)

So, looking at blade options, it seems as though Barranca, diamond Pacific, and MK all are pretty much the same company. Is this true? Are Covington's blades truly an MK 303 and/or 301?
Is a .065 kerf too thin for a 12" blade cutting agate at nearly max capacity? Can I use a 303 blade or should I use a 301?

automaton25 I run 0.050 in a fourteen-inch saw and it is not too thin.

Barranca and MK are basically the same, and they supply blades for other companies as well. DP is not associated with them.

Is the Greenline the one that they send out without trimming up the sintered segments? The snaggle tooth look just seems unfinished.
