I'd about given up on commenting since I always seem to be saying the same thing about your cabs and I'm running out of superlatives. But I will try. In addition to your usual perfection, I love the shapes you chose for each--of course, the St. John's is special, but oh my! The tiffany! The crazy lace! The Bruneau! Nice work.

Thank you SO much Susan! I was actually kind of nervous once I realized I didn't have a marquis stencil...but I think I got it figured out! LOL - I really like that shape! I couldn't break up that Tiffany slabette! I that's one of the biggest cabs I've done.

All gorgeous, of course! The Bruneau, St. John's and the Tiffany are my favorites. I do really like that shield shape on the Crazy Lace (and it's a really sweet piece of CL)!

Cabbing is SO addictive! As soon as I cab something new (like the Tiffany Stone)...and if I only have a single slab of it, I'm instantly looking for that material to buy a truckload of it! LOL If I had another 100 pounds of cuts from that particular Crazy Lace piece, it still wouldn't be enough!

Sweet cabs, Jason! What I like the best is the shape of both #2 and #8. Is that from a template or your own free-form cuts? I think that it has real potential for more outstanding cabs if you can play with the relative dimensions.

I saw that stencil shape online...and used it! Well...you've piqued my curiosity as to how you're imagining the differential in the dimensions. I've seen a similar type of shape that has in inside curve on that top right side...but I prefer the way it curves outward. If I eliminate the "nub" at the bottom, then it's basically just the same shape as #4. The only other thing I can think to do would be to make it fatter and squattier...

I'll see if I can generate some ideas in a few days...

Holy moly, I'm glad I checked in and saw this thread. Those are outstanding cabs. I'm hard pressed to pick a favorite although I'm partial to Bruneau as far as jaspers go.

I was SO hoping you would say something like that! Seriously, thank you for taking a look at it! Holy moly, I'm glad I checked in and saw this thread. Those are outstanding cabs. I'm hard pressed to pick a favorite although I'm partial to Bruneau as far as jaspers go. Thanks Diane! I just cut out some "Aberrant" Bruneau this afternoon. It's definitely aberrant! I might get them done this weekend. It's starting to snow...and is supposed to continue all weekend!
