What's to critique? You clearly enjoy getting better at something, I think given enough time you'll master all the little details. Your rocks already rock for someone new at the hobby and your pics present a nice clean shot.

I am struggling a bit with the color in the pics and dealing with the glare. The shine is a nice problem to deal with and I know the color is all about lighting so I'll keep working on it.

If you're "looking" for critiques of the pics...the only thing I'd say is your camera is having a hard time focusing on the top part of the frame on that first picture. I run into this when I'm taking pics of my wraps. The middle focuses, but the top or bottom doesn't focus. I use my cell phone for pics...so I'm not sure there's a fix for me...

Yeah I am using my phone for the pics as well. I did notice the top being a little blurry. In past posts I took a pic from both sides to try and get good angles. Maybe there's something in the settings to play with.....not that I am that tech savvy. Posting here is advanced for me.

Its definitely worth it here in Texas! We have a shady spot everywhere we go. This model is real nice I'd highly recommend it! On top of it the company is great!

Those look great! The tumbles and the pics. The glare can just be ridiculous to work around. I think the softness in the top of the 1st pic and in a lesser degree in the others is from depth of field. The rocks on the top are farther away. You might try tipping the phone a bit from front to back. Also you could try moving a bit further from the subject and don't zoom with the phone, enlarge and crop after. For more depth of field you need lessmagnification, more light, more distance from the subject. Too bad you can't bend your cell phone you can use the scheimpflug principle. This is all nit-picking, they look great. Love the Bots and the Kabamba. Is the 2nd pic all Bots are or some of the ones on the right something else?

You point on magnification makes a lot of sence. I believe there are 2 Swazi agates at the bottom of the second pic (left side in the top pic) the rest are Botwanas.
