I just finished reading Tela's rockjunquie wire wrapping book. This is the first thing I've done since then. I used her design techniques to lay this out beforehand. Some big breakthroughs on design here for me and definitely the best constructed wrap that I've put together. Thanks, Tela! Got a lot out of the book and I'm going to get a lot more.
I do need to clean up my tool marks on this and I will be applying a patina but it will probably be a while before I can get to it.

You flippin' nailed it!! This is definitely your best wrap...hands down. The design is spectacular...and SO creative! The additional "heart" up by the bail was genius! Great great job!! EDIT TO ADD...and talk about CLEAN! You really worked the wire spectacularly well!!

I *love* that wrap! The odd thing is there's a lot going on, but none of it detracts from the stone. Every bit of it is complimentary and the back is better than some of my fronts. I've got to add that I've had Tela's book now ten years or more, and it lives under my bed in a 3-ring binder. Every now and then I will take it out and read it again, and every time I do, it stokes my creativity and assists me with design.

rockbrain I LOVE THIS! It's a heart, so it should be a little frilly. You didn't go overboard and like Susan says it all works together. I know you're going to patina this, but it does look great as is, if you change your mind. I love everything about this and the way you pulled it off. It has a flow and looks effortless. Looks like you used all round, too. I can't think of a bigger compliment to my book. Thank you so much and congrats on a job well done!

EDIT TO ADD...and talk about CLEAN! You really worked the wire spectacularly well!! Thanks Jason, I spent a lot of time on design. When I worked the design out in drawing I was very excited with it and felt like I had "nailed it" I'm happy the actual wrap went along with the program. Thanks so much susand24224. The one thing that wasn't in my drawing was the heart on top. It was literally the last wire end to deal with when I saw it. I thought it was going to end up being too much but went for. I'm glad I did. I think it added to the piece. I don't know why I didn't even think about printing out the book. Thanks pebblesky! I really appreciate the kind comment. Very pretty! And, how do I get this book?! Thank you! I don't know that the book is generally available right now. rockbrain I LOVE THIS! It's a heart, so it should be a little frilly. Thank you so much and congrats on a job well done! Thanks Tela, I feel I've made a huge breakthrough with this book. I learned how to do a couple of different wraps from tutorials and I was just applying those to the stone I was working with. You taught me how to look at the stone and design a wrap that will balance and compliment it. Thank you so much for sharing that knowledge with me. Looks like a lovely Valentine for someone Very nicely done,
Patty
Thanks Patty! I think I'm actually going to keep this one. It's not THAT spectacular but I kind of feel like it's my first wrap. I've done others, but this is the first one that is really MINE! She is orrum ! I couldn't have done this without her!

On opening this thread I immediately saw "Tela's rockjunquie" and your outstanding pendant wrap. My first thought was that you were showing one of her pieces that you purchased or were gifted. So well done!

Yep! What everyone said, just the right amount of fru-fru to decorate the stone without distracting from it. Well done, sir!

Excellent wrap, you definitely made a beautiful piece of jewelry. I do disagree with you when you said "it's not that spectacular" --oh yes it is spectacular! The added copper beads is brilliant.
