Thanks for the information. Don't know if I'll be back to that guy since he deals mostly in large purchases but might try t buy some if I do go back. As for "spoils", I didn't get very much but will try to post a few pics sometime. It doesn't take many rock pics to get most of us excited...I think we're kinda like a 3-year-old with a cardboard box! LOL LOL

Nicely done. There's really no point in making comments being this late, as I'd only be repeating what others have said.

I'm working on a stabilization process/experiment right now...hopefully I'll get them done this weekend. Once that's over, I'll probably pump out a few more doublets...just a few though.

Oh...and ten pounds of Regency Rose showed up in the mail today. Oh...and I have a ten pound chunk of Basanite that will be used for backing material at some point. (And seventeen glued preforms ready to be shaped on the wheels then onto dop. )

Beautiful stuff. Makes me want to start doing doublets but I've got enough on my plate! I didn't see this until late because I was busy polishing scratched heart cabs yesterday. Today I'll be busy fixing them!

drocknut basinite is not exactly rare but perfectly jet black and silicified enough to polish well can take a bit of looking. There are also some good alternatives like the pieces of black agate you can find in the India Zebra agate and black jade. I also have some stuff called argyllite from near the CA/OR border that was collected by a NW rockhound retreat participant, a bit softer and good for backing or intarsia with the softer materials, I use it for Spencer opal triplets.

Hi Jason, if you are ever to wire-wrap this (or something similar - I am basically looking for white flowers pattern on black backing) and have it on the market for sale, could you ping me? I would like to buy it, whichever payment method that is the easiest and most cost-efficient for you.

I'll get into my finished cab bags sometime this weekend and I'll shoot you a PM. If I've got any you like, I can wrap it and we can work something out!

I would like to buy it, whichever payment method that is the easiest and most cost-efficient for you. I attached a picture of the doublets I have that are black with white plumes. These are all Nydegger Plume Agate. If you see one you like, let me know. I can wrap it in silver or patina'd copper. Those are killer! I gotta try me one😊 Thanks Paul, If you do make some, you're gonna get hooked!! LOL
