Very cool. The grandkids will always remember getting pretty polished rocks from you and may one day end up on this forum!

Very cool. The grandkids will always remember getting pretty polished rocks from you and may one day end up on this forum! Funny you say that. When I was little my grandfather hunted and fished in Oregon and started collecting agates in the early 1950s. He'd get some cabs made up and give them away. Sadly, as a kid I traded away or lost all the cabs he had made me. A few years back my aunt sent me a couple flat rate boxes full of material he left behind. (no nice Priday or the likes) His influence made me a rockhound for life and about ten years ago I began lapidary work to cut and polish my own stones for my jewelry work. I just joined here a couple weeks ago. Thanks Gramps!!

they were a huge help. got to also sort out a 15Lb course run. Normally takes me about 20 mins to sort. This batch took over an hour because we had to hand each rock down the line and vote on whether it was ready to move on or not. Funny how grandma was upstairs being very quiet the whole time
