Well I'd say you did a hell of a job on the stabilization. That crusty chunk looks like it didn't deserve a 2nd glance.
Oh... The cabs are ok too 😎

The BC looks great! And the plumes are amazing! So, in person, how do the BCOS look as far as them being stabilized.
ETA Sorry, I've seen them called BC Ocean Stone BCOS.

Amazing! It is rare that I take a glance (gander) at the cabs others have made and automatically wrap them in my mind, and several of yours caused that. I haven't tried a doublet, but if you keep posting rock pornography like this it is only a matter of time before I do. Thanks for sharing the stunning results and motivating me.

Yeah...that chunk was super cheap for what it is. I figured if I couldn't stabilize it, and could only get one cab out of it, it'd be worth what I paid. But...since the stabilization worked...I guess I got the "bonus plan"! LOL The BC looks great! And the plumes are amazing! So, in person, how do the BCOS look as far as them being stabilized.

Thanks Tela! Honestly, to the naked eye, I don't believe 99.99% of the population would ever know it was stabilized. Yeah...I've seen BC Ocean Stone, BC Ocean Jasper, BC Ocean Picture Stone, BC Blue Ocean Stone...and I called it "junk chunk" when I first saw it arrive in the mail! LOL Amazing! Thanks Susan! Did you wrap them in a big ol' hug? I haven't wrapped any of the doublets yet either...but I'm guessing a person could get away with whatever back they use for the wrap! LOL Interesting effects on that second ochoco lace. Nice lot 👍🏻 Thanks my friend! Yeah...that Ochoco Lace presented me a pure conundrum! You can see they're a hair "cloudy" towards the center because of what's happening in the agate. If I took them thinner, the black backing would be very pronounced...but I would have lost the effects of what's happening with the lace. I started them out with a higher dome...and just kept taking more and more off until I didn't want to lose anymore of the depth in the lace itself...

Helluva stablization project. They look great! fencejumper will be proud. The doublets are awesome, too. I really like that second Ochoco. When are you gonna cut the copper complex?

Thanks for tagging Paul...I meant to come back and do that! LOL Copper Complex? Damn you're a slave driver! LOL - I'll probably put those on dop tonight. I know I was hoping for better results from those than what I'm going to be getting...at least that's what my gut is telling me from the BCOPS...

You had some work to do, but the results are rewarding. Beautiful cabs! Adrian Thank you so much Adrian! I cut some Regency Rose slabs the other day. A couple look like they could be promising. I should have gotten on the trim saw today when the weather was decent. Looks like it'll be a few more days before I'll get another chance.

I cut 2 BC Ocean cabs for belt buckles for gifts, same drill only opticon, which I will never use again.

I cut 2 BC Ocean cabs for belt buckles for gifts, same drill only opticon, which I will never use again. I guess I was expecting the resin to be a lot more resilient than it turned out to be. I found it to be more like "plastic" than glass. I don't get how Art Resin could be used as a table top project like I've seen done...I found the slightest thing left scratches in the resin...including a cerium oxide pad...

I really like the pale blue in that BC Ocean Picture jasper. Never heard of that but the colors make for a great scenery! Very nice. And all your careful stabilization looks to have paid off!👍 Not something I’ve tried yet but it’s in the back of my mind, good skill to have.

There are some amazing cabs I've seen come from that BCOPS! You kind of have to use your imagination to see an "ocean scene" in the ones I did...but some of the cabs I've seen, there's no doubt it's a scene from a beach. It's one of those materials you keep your fingers crossed while cutting it! LOL
