Normally I see the texas pink limb cabbed. Here's some Paulina pink limbcast. Had to turn flash on to capture the pink hue. Depending on the light and the angle, you get a different color. I have 3 more ring sized cabs on dop, I'll post the rest of as glamour shots when done. (i'll finish off the back edge too. Just came off dop out of freezer)

Looks ten times better on the laptop than on my phone...and I thought it looked great on my phone!

That's a beauty. Almost looks like mother of pearl in that picture.

That's a beautiful color. I have some nodules of pink agate that I bought a bit of that look great until I slab them. They just look white in the thinner pieces.

Sounds like you have rose quartz possibly, a lot of it fades to nothing as it thins. It also fades under UV light so storage is an issue. The limbcasts are a lot better when you get a good deep pink, and the color change is a bonus.

It really depends on the angle and light. I’m going to experiment with some backing materials to see if I can’t pull more of that pink out

I have some Texas Spring pink limbcast, but it doesn't look anything like yours. Yours is glowing pink!

That is absolutely gorgeous! If it were mine, I would just sit it where I could see it often and smile at it. Beautiful material, worked to perfection.

One difference I’ve noticed between Texas springs and Paulina, is that the Texas springs is a bit more opaque whereas the Paulina is more translucent. As stated above, I think I’m going to play with some backing to see what I can do with the play of pink color.

I have some Texas Spring pink limbcast, but it doesn't look anything like yours. Yours is glowing pink! Nothing against the Paulina, which is beautiful, but I collected at Texas Springs back in the day when one simply had to rake beautiful casts out of the surface soil. At its best it's rich deep pink flawless chalcedony that makes superb specimens and cabs. Sad story: I had over 200 lbs. of choice material I had to abandon years ago after a bitter divorce. I hope it ended up in the hands of someone who appreciated its rarity and beauty.

I have a few good secret spots to find it without digging, but I’ll have to be held at gunpoint to give locations. And even then I might just take the bullet instead of giving them up 😂

realrockhound I think it was the 3rd "last summer" that Judy Elkins was open I dropped in with Elizabeth and she had the pink limbcast with dendrites, she had some choice words for me when she overheard me telling Elizabeth is was too expensive. They ganged up on me and I bought a little, now I wish we had got a lot more.

I have a few scattered pieces of some kind of pink limb cast, but they aren't big enough to do anything with except look at.
