Another very attractive set of cabs Tela rockjunquie . The capture on the Bruneau is perfect. Isn’t that stuff fun to cab? I DO love to cab it. I just picked up a few more pieces. I hope they turn out to be as nice as I think they will. Thanks for the show, Tela! I found myself falling into the swirling void of the Bruneau, but then I lingered on the last cab: I see stone-age huts along the bottom foreground, with rock paintings on a stone cliff behind the "village". So did I! All are stunning! I love looking at all y'alls work. It sets the bar real high. Thanks!!! Oh, I know you will be cabbing like me in no time. I have faith. Besides, I'm by far NOT the best cabber here. The bar is really high! Maybe one day, I'LL be cabbing like them. Those are all beautiful. That Deschutes is da bomb! (that means I like it, at least I think it does...lol). Yup, you can say that, but the kids don't say it anymore. .... But, people will still know what you mean. LOL!

I meant to respond to y'all sooner, but I kept getting sidetracked, forgot and went out of town- so here they are. Beauties all, especially the first and the last. What a productive day ! Patty
Thanks, Patty! I set a fast pace for cabbing. I enjoy working fast- I don't know why, but I do. Doing 6 a day is usually slow for me. I cabbed the other day and only got 5 done. I noticed before I was getting a little sloppy. Now, I am trying to slow down. My cabs were fine, but they could have been better. Stunning! as always, thanks for sharing. Thanks for looking and for commenting. Beauties all, especially the first and the last. Yeah, an intriguing shape on those two. Can’t put my finger on it but . . . ; ) Oh, I bet you can. My favorite is whichever one I'm looking at! So glad that you not only had a great cabbing day, but also that you have incredible treasures to show for it. Thank you, Susan. I wish every cabbing day would be so good. It turned cold again. I can't wait for it to warm up again. I have all sorts of the Indian Blanket. Have not worked with any of it yet. A lot of it is still in the common opal stage, and some has converted in to jasper. I like it. The hematite makes a such a great contrast. That piece cabbed up pretty easily, too. Nice set. I am also a big fan of the Bruneau and the Owyhee. Me, too! So much so that I am loath to cut into my best slabs. I just love them as is. Thanks for the show, Tela! I found myself falling into the swirling void of the Bruneau, but then I lingered on the last cab: I see stone-age huts along the bottom foreground, with rock paintings on a stone cliff behind the "village". Cool!!! I am always pleased and a little sad when people see such vivid pictures in cabs. I mean, it's great you like it, but I just don't see that. But, I almost never see what other people plainly see. Great cabs & images rockjunquie They're all great but I'm a sucker for quality Deschutes. The fracture really does look like opal. I know some of the material from there is opalized so I think your guess is probably good. Should have had a "softer" feel on the wheels when grinding than jasper. Love the Owyhee too. Didn't see much of it even when I lived in Boise, very near the source. That you! I really appreciate the tips. And, yes, you have convinced me that it is opalized. But, another thing is that the opalized seems to polish better. At least on the ones I've had.
