hi all i was thinkin that this bone might work for wrapping around the boulder opal i just got --i got this a few weeks ago-- its a hair shy of two lb and im thinkin the color will be close to the boulder opal might look good i just seen gaetz post and it made me think about this piece i dont think i posted pics so here go's heres a close up on the cells

Gorgeous coloration in that bone. I'll bet you'll work some good magic on those cabs. Thanks for remembering and posting those picts. I could look at dino bone all day long!!!!!!

i think it was a nice chunk i did an off ebay deal with the guy cantim that sells alot of bone he sent me a pic of a piece that wasent as nice as this and had a bad shape for slabbin kind of a triangle and i turned it down then he sent me a pic of this one and it looked nice and agatized so i got it it wasent cheap but its hard to get chunks that are well agatized seems everyone whats to just sell slabs i would love to go hunt some bone someday and have large chunks to cut and cab i realy like this stuff when finished

That close up is so neat! You could make a poster from that shot.
I find it really interesting how all those colors come out of fossilized bone
