Not necessarily true. We told our southern MN relative about that movie and they told us after watching it they didn’t know what was so funny. (lol)

I didn’t have the heart to tell them at the time, not that they would have understood anyway.

I think it depends on how integrated the family is as to how they speak now days. My Grma and Grmpa definitely used those words more as do some of my older aunts, but with the newer generations it fading away.
