I looked at images of Larsonite online and there were a few that matched. When I closely examined the slab it appears it's petrified bog wood. I was told the other slabs are western Nevada material, perhaps Dead Camel neighborhood. It's all distinctive enough I'm sure there's folks here that know. royowyhee jasper noreena yellow feather indian paint noreena gary green

Nice finds RWA3006! Back in the day when I was hitting a bunch of shows around N.CA I used to squeeze in a Gemfaire show or two just on the odd chance that I'd find an actual rock - and because it fulfilled my basic need to be walking aisles, looking for rocks even if they weren't my kind of rocks haha I also have been known to hit garage sales and flea markets for the same reasons

I've often thought some of the best rock hounding a guy could get would be to go through the vast quantities of material laying forgotten in the back yards of so many places where the original finder has passed away and the new inhabitants have no idea of what is just sitting there. It's shameful what will eventually be wasted.
