Does anyone have a stash of old-style non LED light bulbs? Are you willing to sell a couple?
I know this sounds like an odd request but my favorite dopping station has become obsoleted by the lack of a light bulb. It's an old Raytech that uses a 75 or 100 W incandescent bulb as a heat source. My last bulb just gave out and I find that LED bulbs just don't generate enough heat to do the job.
I love this method of dopping because the heat rise is gentle enough for sensitive stones like opal and it keeps stones and wax at just the right temperature . If anyone can spare a couple of 75 or 100 W. old-style bulbs please let me know and we'll work out price/shipping etc. I might even part with a nice slab or 2 as a bonus. TIA!

Could you use a ceramic heat lamp? They make them for reptiles that screw into a light socket. They also make a 50 watt. 100 watt

I'm going to be right across the highway, anyway. We have a lot. I brought home a mess of them from my mom's house after she passed. She had cabinets full of them.

I have found them by the case at the Habitat for Humanity Restore. Final cost was about .25 per bulb. I use 100 w bulbs in a lamp to heat up slabs & preforms to apply Hxtal epoxy resin. Lynn

It’s a real shame these will be gone some day. People use them for so much more than light. They help heat up our house which is really nice in the winter and in the summer we just leave lights mostly off since the sun shines in. Also Christmas lights give a place for our hummingbirds to sit on freezing days. The LED bulbs don’t give off any heat for them. They will cuddle up to the old fashioned small or large Christmas lights though and we also wrap the feeders with them and it keeps them from freezing so fast.

Our Jimmy Carter store is now Fuller House. They couldn't afford the fee's to use the Habitat for Humanity name. Something wrong there.

If you need more let me know. I am pretty sure I have cases of them including the flood lamp types out in the garage.
