Howdy, Looking forward to learning and sharing with you folks.
My hubby and I find rocking is a great companion to our other hobbies: off road Jeeping, camping, and astronomy. It even fits well with my gardening, as our yard has swaths of glacial till and quaternary anllluvium. But what to do with those lovely stones? Why, polish them, or some of them anyway, of course.
I currently have a newly bought CE dual with a drum of local rocks and a drum of agate, jasper and mixed from The Rock Shed. It’s on the never ending (or feels like it) coarse stage.
I find the tumbling process fascinating. Now, all I need is a tumbling shed.
Take care and happy tumbling,
Wedger

Welcome wedger . This is a great site for learning but some of the people here are truly artists. I’m constantly astounded by the creativity of some of the members. This guy immediately above my post ^ is one of them.

Ah, gotta learn to love that glacial till! Especially when it turns a would-be half hour landscape planting project into a half-day one! Never thought to throw the small ones in the tumbler. Welcome!

Welcome from north central New York where our glacial till is 99.9% sandstone. Nice! Well, my pickaxe gets a lot of use when I put in new beds. 😊. I like to call the cobbles our illegal Canadians.
