My templates used to be a stack of unorganized stuff. I put them in a bin, but the bin overflowed. Thanks to a suggestion by liveoak Patty, they are in a binder now. I had many one offs- single templates that I cut myself - most that I designed myself. I had mylar pages, thick plexiglass, thinner plastic... Now they are all in one place. My 2 inch binder. I also have all the paperwork from my tools in it. I backed the clear templates with colored paper to see them better. I ordered black cards to go in the one off baseball card slots.
Hopefully, this will make things easier for me. If not- it's back to the random pile.

How did you get into my head and come up with this idea?  I am planniong on doing the exact same thing with my stack of templates that I have!!! I guess great minds think alike. |

Hmm 🤔 I feel like I should buy a bunch of templates now so I can do this! 🤣 I only have a couple and they hang on my peg board. I have been wanting some “designer” shapes and have looked but just haven’t gotten any yet.

Great minds that need to be a little more tidy.  Hmm 🤔 I feel like I should buy a bunch of templates now so I can do this! 🤣 I only have a couple and they hang on my peg board. I have been wanting some “designer” shapes and have looked but just haven’t gotten any yet. They magically add up over time. It's taken me 10 years to get all mine. |

Ok, you did inspire me to get some of my stuff organized. Below is how my home-made templates looked before. Every time I wanted one, I had to dump them all out and search through them to find what I wanted.  After today, I have at least gotten the templates and some equipment information in the notebook shown below. I still have more to add but at least I don't have them on tables and shelves or upstairs where I have to dig for them.  Now, I just have to get those rocks on my desk organized. Thanks for the idea! |
