I am doing Jason Welsh's course on electroforming and his documentation says that Walmart Pharmacy is the suggested place to find copper sulfate in Canada. I'd rather not give money to Walmart. Anyone in the the Great White North have ideas of other places to find copper sulfate for elctroforming?

You can get it here in the states at the hardware store. Check out big box stores that sell root killer or tree killer. Home Depot, etc.

I've never mixed my own. I've always done a pre made solution from Rio Grande. As far as I know any hardware store would carry it.

Yeah, it looks like Canada has some rules around Copper Sulfate that is different than the US. Root killers here do not contain it. I might find some in pool supplies. I will have to go look. Now I need to chase down some material to make anode bags out of.

Anyone in the the Great White North have ideas of other places to find copper sulfate for elctroforming? if you have Ace Hardware they normally carry it as stump or tree killer.

When in doubt, at least for hard to find chemicals etc, I find Home Hardware usually has something or will know where to get it.

You could also try industrial plating supply companies. There chrome (and maybe nickel) plating companies that copper plate certain items before chrome plating. I worked in a chrome shop and we used copper sulfate to restore diameter to specs on conductor rolls.
