These look amazing! I’ve got a bunch still in stage 1 and I’m hoping they turn out as well as these.

I am seriously considering a trip down there in a couple months when it warms up to pull a few hundered pounds of tumble pieces out. How hard is it to find awesome rough like this down there? Or is this the stuff that is just laying everywhere from the nappers?

I never did get there last summer. Way too many health issues. This spring I am planning to go. Once I get it figured out I will announce it here. Would love to see some other RTHers there. Great job on the tumble BTW. Love the shine!

Niiice!!! This is a spring trip for me. Just waiting on slightly warmer temps! Love the variety you've got there - very shiny, colorful and lovely patterns

Or is this the stuff that is just laying everywhere from the nappers? There is stuff for tumbling all over the place. No need to do any hammer and chisel work although I did for about 5 minutes just to say I did. I probably hammered out about 3 of the 130 pounds I collected. I did use a hammer to break some pieces up that were laying around just to make sure the color went through and wasn't just surface staining. The loose material breaks apart easily. Half of the stuff I took was actually from walking the corn field next to the house. I am sure the corn field will be off limits once the crop is put in though.

Hubby and I set a date of April 1 to head there - Can't wait to see what we can find. Definitely bringing my hammer, pick and chisel (need that whole experience), but glad to know there's plenty to pick up for when my hands get tired

I MAY end up going some time in june not 100% sure yet tho.
