Hey everyone, my name is Dusty Atkinson and I'm a very enthusiastic 36 year old Rockhound and business owner specializing in unopened geodes and Thundereggs. I'm a second generation Lapidarian entrepreneur as both my parents are rock heads having started by owning a rock shop down in St. Petersburg Florida in the late 80's early 90's which eventually led them both on different tangents in the Rock industry. One of the products of that early rock shop was the side business of selling and cracking geodes at the local Renaissance Festival (sold as "Dragon Eggs" Me lord). When not cracking Dragon Eggs at the Renaissance they enjoyed collecting agatized coral specimens to cut and polish to sell at their store and in Tucson. This eventually evolved into my Father messing around with some lapidary equipment to try and do creative things with the Coral. Many years of messing around with lapidary equipment eventually turned him into a half decent sculptor. Growing up I was around all these things everyday and naturally came to enjoy them and learn how to do them myself (free shop labor am I right?). Fast forward to today and we still sell Geodes (Dragon Eggs) at almost all of the major Renaissance Festivals and offer a huge variety of different Geode types and Thundereggs online for people to enjoy at home. Oh and when not cracking/cutting/scoring geodes for people my Father and I are also partners in conceiving and creating one of a kind kinetic sculptures out of all sorts of stone and fossil mediums! If you care to see any of our work or check out our geodes for sale you're welcome to visit either of our websites below. Though I've grown up around lapidary and do it everyday I don't pretend to be a know it all...in fact that's how I found these forums to begin with! That being said I do have a decent knowledge of many Geodes and decent knowledge of Thundereggs and know my way around a good bit of lapidary equipment so if I can help anybody while I'm here, I'd love to contribute! Thanks for hosting such an incredible wealth of knowledge!

PS If anybody lives near NW Colorado we offer Lapidary tours where you can pick out your own Geodes/Thundereggs and we'll cut them right there for you and can even polish them for you. These tours are normally a paid affair, but if anybody on here is interested I'd extend the fellow rock nut buddy discount.
