I need info on what is the most popular vibratory machine in use foe rock polishing - small abt. 2 to 3 inch max. Note: I will probably use a tumbler for stage one polishing.
Thank you so much - hard to tell what is good on Amazon or anywhere else. Price is important, but NOT a deal breaker.

Welcome to the forum from South Dakota! As your question is purely subjective...you may want to do a search in the tumbling section of the forum for "vibratory" and read through the threads to get a ton of information to make a choice suited for your specific needs.

Welcome from Northern Arizona!
I agree with Jason -- do a search on the tumbling board and you will find more info than you probably need. From there, ask questions on that board if you want to know something about a certain or model or whatever. Folks will be happy to chime in and give your their opinions.

Welcome from NE Ohios Lake Erie shore. Welcome to the forum!
You night not get as many answers in a hello post as a post in a different subject area… BUT…. I’ve had a single Lot-O a few years now. Love it. Zero problems. Got a double LOT-O for Christmas, set it up about a month ago. Something isn’t right with it. Motor occasionally REALLY loud, and the customer service was less than stellar. If you KNOW you’re going to use it right away and will be under warranty, a LOT-O is kind of set it and forget it as far as maintenance. I know nothing about the other ones…I’ve used an RCSB ultra sonic cleaner, and I’m pretty MEH about it.

These days, some times the best one is whatever is in stock.

So, from what I can gather on other posts, and sites, regarding VT.
Lot-o used to be the go to. Recent quality problems and customer service issues has caused a few folks to stop recommending it.
Thumbler’s UV industrials get high marks. It has been pretty impossible to find any for sale, so it’s best to keep your eye out. They have gone up in listed price dramatically in just the past few months.
Diamond Pacific have a smaller sonic vibrating tumbler that also gets good reviews. They are all on about a six month back order.
Anyway, I recommend the Rock Shed as Shawn is amazing. I’ve a MT4 sonic on back order with him.

I like my MT4 a lot. The one issue I'm having is not the fault of the machine. I keep loading too large of rocks and things will get jammed up. I think you'll be happy with this machine. I still wonder about the Gy-roc from Johnson Bros. I don't see anything written about it. It has some appealing features.
