I was greatly thankful to Member Tom for showing me his Raytech today and how to load it. I came home and put all his teaching to work. I have beautiful movement, no water laying in the bottom and I even got the little bubbles. Put the top on and it stops moving only a little jiggle. Take the top off and it starts moving beautifully again. What am I doing wrong? Tight cap, cranked down cap, just screwed on enough so the vibration doesn't unscrew it. Tempted to just put saran wrap over the top so it doesn't dry out over night. Any suggestions from all the vibe pros???
Thank you in advance. Kelly

When you initially installed the main rod, did you screw it all the way in, then back it out a couple turns?
When I first set mine up, I had the rod screwed all the way in and wasn't getting good action. I backed the rod out a couple turns, then tightened the securing nut to keep it there...and the action increased dramatically.

Jason I bought it second hand from a rock guy in El Paso Texas who was retiring and selling everything. I dont think that nut has been off there in 20 yrs (exaggeration) It runs great, with the cap off. Put the cap on and all action stops.

That was the only thing I could think of...but I have very limited experience. Hopefully someone with more working knowledge of them will chime in then...

Cap too tight? solvable. got to be solvable. Try removing cushioning under the machine.
