Those are all beautiful. Thanks for sharing. What type of machine are you using?

.I use a cutting machine for shaping. Then I use vibro tumbling for the next stages and polishing. After it, I slightly polished it with a diamond on a tarpaulin. I have a small one ( 0.5 liters ) , these were made in Kyiv 20-25 years ago . They are ideal for cabochons. Unfortunately they don't make them now.

Very pretty stones and a nice machine for shaping. It is nice to find some beauty in nature during this ugly invasion of the Ukraine. I am so sorry for you and your countrymen.

Are they tricky to cab? Topaz has a notorious cleavage.

Topaz is one of the best gems for tumbling and cabochon making. It is processed very quickly despite its hardness. As for the cleavage planes, they do not interfere with processing at all. The main thing when making cabochons from a transparent material is to make the correct shape of the cabochon (without pits and steps), because this is very visible in a transparent material. I use flat disks for processing . A little later I will describe the whole process.
