We subscribe to Archeology Magazine & there was an article about an ancient well that they uncovered in Germany.
One of the items found was this wire wrapped tooth.
Not a bad job, but I think maybe the bail could use a little more work, and the wrap seems a little loose.
An animal tooth wrapped in bronze wire, from Middle Bronze Age (ca. 1800–1200 B.C.)

Very cool! Yeah, it's a little uneven, but not bad for its age. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, that's pretty cool! I wish there was something to show the size.

Too silly, Tom has convinced me that I need to try to replicate this ancient wire wrap. So first I looked at boar's teeth on the web, and the cost was staggering. BUT, yesterday at the flea market I purchased a buffalo tooth ( for $2 !), and so I'm going to attempt a bronze age tooth wrap.
Shouldn't be too difficult, I think I can pull off a rough looking wrap. I just need to order up some bronze wire, and then maybe bury it for a couple of thousand years to get that perfect patina .

I think you'll like working with bronze. I would use it more, but when you patina it, it pretty much looks like copper.
Good luck! I'm sure you can pull it off.

So now I'm wondering if it looks like copper after patination & I would think to patina it green- then maybe I should stick with copper. Although Tom is urging me on the bronze, to be authentic.
We'll see after the company leaves.
