Hi all. Well this stuff really turned out to be a difficult stone to work and photograph. The hematite spots are softer than the rest of the stone and I kept getting flat spots. Then when taking the pics, it was hard to get the colors to show without the glare. But I think it turned out ok. Thanks for lookin" Ed

Looks great to me. I've got some really strange slabs of that material but haven't tried it yet. Got to put it on my cabbing list...mel

Thanks folks. This material is so cool looking. Kinda like tiger eye, but with more colors. I wiil be looking for some more soon. It does look better in person cuz there's no way to photograph the way the colors move around(like tigereye).
Well, Cal is on his way over and we're gonna go do some rockhounding in Morgan Hill.

Good luck on the hounding and great job on what sounds to be a difficult stone!

Hi Stoner:
What can you tell me about this material? I've never seen or heard anything about this material until I saw the picture. That's some really great looking stuff. It looks expensive.
Thanks

Hi Steve. This isn't very common material, especially for tumbling and yes it is a little pricey. It also goes by the name of Austrailian Tigereye as it has the same characteristics of tigereye. It is just something I saw on ebay and decided I had to have it.
