Ordered a blade from JB with a 5/8 inch arbor hole but it must have come with a 1/2 inch bushing installed. What's the easiest way to remove this?

A pipe or wooden dowel that only sits in the brass bushing than support majority the blade from underneath to avoid warpage but leave the arbor hole un covered. Than take a hammer a dead blow hammer would be my choice if I had one a solid smack should dislodge the bushing. My 2 cents.

I put the blade on a doubled towel and tap it out using a drift like Mr Gates... Sockets work nicely I tap pretty lightly, usually doesn't take a lot of force

Thanks I'll give it a try. If you ordered a 5/8 arbor hole would you expect it to arrive with a smaller bushing installed? I can't tell if a mistake was made or if they just send them this way to make it work for people needing 1/2 or 5/8. Dunno, maybe not a big deal but I would have expected 5/8 since that's what I bought ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Removing the bushing is easy and this way they only have to stock 1 item instead of 2 separate items. In the past, I've order blades that that had the correct size arbor hole and had a bushing taped to the blade. Same thing, inventory a single product instead of 2.

I don't buy blades frequently enough to know so will give this one a shot. Thanks everyone
