I've never used on so I could be wrong, but I believe you lay the disc on the machine ? You should be able to confirm this on the Highland Park website

No it's spins around and around... It's just a very early highland park model from what I have gathered...

Hello i just have a stupid question....i just purchased a highland park k-12 flat lap and it doesn't have a arbor hole to attach a dics....so how would i go about attaching something to it? I've only used a flat lap once, and it didn't have discs. Grit was poured directly on the surface of the wheel. Once a grind was done, the wheel (and the rock) was washed off and the next grit size down was used. You're also going to need some type of water source for that. I just found this video. It's not great as there isn't any verbal instruction, but you'll see the user go through his process. Just remember to keep your material moving across the wheel so the wheel doesn't form an irregular surface. He used a spray bottle for water. It also looks like there are drip sources available in the aftermarket.

dfh83I don't know how "original looking" you'd be able to keep it when it comes to a water supply, as there might be a good chance a user for one of those original machines just sprinkled or sprayed water as needed. I don't really know, as I'm guessing. That said, you could set up something like this: kingsleynorth.com/flex-cooler-with-pump.html. All your water source might need to be with something like this would be a five-gallon bucket.
