Okay, here's what I brought home yesterday. I keep finding new types and some of the same I found last time. They don't look like much on the outside, but once they are cut, Wow! There are a lot of pics, so I will post them as thumbnails. Does this help you people on dial up? All of them after cleaning-sorta A chunk of Serpentine-the Calif State Rock The rocks after being cut, a sampling Thanks for looking Ed

Tweet, I'm not sure what they are, seems like a jasper of some kind. Any time you want to John, there's plenty of this rock to be found. Cher, this lake is only about 25 minutes from my house, most of it freeway. It's also a good local fishing lake. But like I told Cal yesterday, one nice thing rockhounding has over fishing, is you never get skunked!

Really nice haul you made. If you keep finding that kind of material, you'll have to open a Bed & Breakfast for all the RTH'ers who will visit. LOL

Holy smokes Ed! I guess the information that Anderson Lake is played out is definately not accurate. You've been finding really interesting stuff. Keep up the good work and the fine pics....mel

Yeah Mel, there's still quite a variety out there. Your right Texas, the one Randy picked as his favorite does look like fruit cake. I'm not sure what the one you picked is. Almost looks like marble. I plan on making some cabs out of this stuff, so I'll get a close up of it then.
