I purchased a slab box from Dr DG, a month or so ago.

And only now really digging into it.

My hardness test is a crude cheap one from Amazon

But this first slab tests around 5

Next one tests around 7

It looks like tourmaline crystals in it.

Any ideas ?

That’s my stab at it.

I did a google search for marcasite, and found some cabs that look something like that, so I'll agree a definite maybe.
