I picked up some at auction. Over four pounds for $50 with free shipping. Initial thoughts are that I got a heck of a deal. The first picture is the lot. The second photo is the nodules I’m most excited about.

Nice snag Brent, you've got some rich color to work with.

Nice snag Brent, you've got some rich color to work with. Thanks Chad. Now the hard part begins. This stuff is hard to clamp, it’s hard to saw and it’s worth some money if sawed properly. It makes me nervous but it’s fun too. That was a steal. Plus you got the nice green I was running low on my 30+ year old stash. I’m pretty tickled to have some more to slab. I’ve never cut any green Bruneau. I hope it has a nice pattern.

I cut that red stuff btw. It almost has an imperial jasper look to it. However, based on what I know and who my grandpa got all that material from. I personally believe it did come from the bruneau digs, but that it’s some one off type of material that was found while digging bruneau, so it got labeled bruneau and thrown in with all the other bruneau. I can post pics, just got busy. Works been taking a toll lately.

Starguy what a great snag! That green nodule is totally awesome. Thanks Robin. It’s always hard to tell from auction photos. I got a pretty big smile when the package was open.

Crazy deal. I wonder if the seller didn’t know what they had or just have so much stuff they need to get rid of.

Very cool to see all the different colors of Bruneau. I have some of both the "black" and the traditional orange brown. Never knew there were other colors.

I was lucky enough to pick up 4 1/2 lbs of Bruneau nodules for a very good price. I wasn’t expecting much as the pictures were of low quality. They turned out to be pretty nice. Here are two pictures each of the best pieces. Piece 1 Rock 2 Nodule 3 Chunk 4 I see some Bruneau slabs in my future. Time to pein the saw blade.

Starguy keep the hammer out. You'll have to peen it again after slabbing those puppies up! Nice rocks - you even have a bi-colored green.
