Managed to get a few cuts yesterday, here is a slab of fluorite I picked up in Tucson this year. Show us what you slabbed this weekend.

AzRockGeek - I remember seeing the Amy Sage chunks when you got those! All three of those are stunning!

A day late I know, but just pulled it out of the litter this morning. Bought a 30 lb chunk of rough at an estate sale - definitely not a normal find in rural Missouri. Pretty happy with what I'm finding inside. (Please excuse my saw marks - my slab saw is also not a common find in Missouri - it's a home built job from the 60s from craigslist. I'm grateful to have found it at all in this region, but still figuring out the finer points of the gravity feed.)

Beautiful!! I really love the fluorite, but am a bit intimidated by it. The dendrites in that bottom slab are amazing. I love to see what our magical earth creates! Thanks for sharing!

Like that last one. Hopefully those dendrites hold if you decide to cab. Nothing more frustrating to me than cabbing material and the dendrites, plumes, etc… fade out as I grind away material.

Beautiful slabs. My saw has been down for a bit mostly because life got in the way plus I need a new blade.

That material looks like some I've found in Burro Creek, Arizona but it could also be Amethyst Sage Agate from Nevada.

That would be awful!! On the stone I did for the competition, the first image I shared had a round center - looked pyrite or similar - about 3-4mm, the one I uploaded yesterday (after going back to early discs twice) that middle is gone - at least now only a pin head size.

It happens to the best of us. Look at my cab entry. The preform had better pattern, then after doming, I lost some white dots
