I've had a little bit of sterling silver wire for a while. I have a few cabochons that I really think should be in silver. I finally decided to make my move today!

Yes silver was the right choice. For those of us that don't know, what is the stone? Are the metal spots in the stone silver? Thanks.

Sweet ! The twisted wire on the border adds an additional sparkle (to my eye anyway),
nice choice - an elegant piece.

Thanks all for the kind comments. chris1956 it's lapis lazuli. I believe this slab was from Afghanistan. The spots are silvery metallic looking. It's pretty soft. I gouged the front with my small flatnose pliers that I haven't conditioned yet. I had to regrind a bit before I finished wrapping.

Beautiful pendant! Great job with the silver. It really complements the lapis.
