Those are gonna come out great! I like the ones in the second picture, and the bigger Square-ish one (towards the center) in the first picture.

Sorry, I forgot to mention these were wet. Next time you see them they should look like this dry. This poppy jasper has so many different looks to it. I really like the variety. Tweet-Ocean Jasper and this poppy jasper are both considered to be an orbicular jasper, so in that sense, yes they are red OJ.

Well, hopefully they will look like this out of polish. There's also some picture jasper in this batch that was looking pretty nice also. Kim-What you see in the pics are the many faces of this poppy jasper. Ya just never know what's under the cruddy looking outside of these rocks.

Wow, what a great bunch of rocks! They look so good tumbled. I can't wait to see the polished version. Those photos are beautiful. I love Morgan Hill jasper!
I have a bit myself (every time I visit San Jose, I make sure to stop by Wenrics. It's the first bucket I go for when I walk in the door!) and suddenly I want to tumble it. Do you have to do anything special when tumbling because the jasper has so many fractures? I would think it would just break up. Do you have a trick?

Hey Steve. The only special treatment I gave these stones is to check them each time I recharged and if I saw any fractures, I would use a hammer and break them up and re-tumble them. I used pellets from 120 on thru the rest of the grits. Next time you're in San Jose, let me know, I'll meet you at Wenrics. Oh yea, you should also check out their $1/lb assorted bin. I've found some really nice stuff in there.

Thanks for the advise! The next time I run a tumbler i'll feed it some MHPJ with renued confidence that I won't end up with gravel in the end.
$1 assorted bin? I love stuff like that! I'll shoot you a message when I know when i'm about to visit sunny San Jose next!
