My coworker’s brother was working with a crew putting in a commercial fence and he came across a real beauty of a rock. He was working south of the Twin Cities, or in the southern half of Minnesota. I could not get the exact location from my coworker. It is like finding buried treasure for them. Only a few chosen may know the secret. LOL! All I have is the two photos that I am uploading. Any help or ideas of what it could be would be appreciated. Thank you.

Going by that banding, I would say a Giant Agate or at least a lot of agate in some sort of host rock.

What a find! It sort of reminds me of the botryoidal agatized coral found by Tampa Bay, but much larger. MsAli Any ideas?

I'd say it's what they call a "Cold water" agate. If you go to Dr. Bills MN geology Snapshots (Minnesotamineralclub.org) He has a very good article on them

That is what the world record laker looks like to me. This is considerably bigger. I would hang on to it and take it to Moose this July and let someone with lots of money try to talk you out of it.
