This slab looked real good at first but once I go a good look, I was not overly impressed. I have only cut 3 slabs and wonder if it is even worth continuing. I think the voids make it less valueanle. What do you guys think? The first two pics are right out of the saw with the oil on them. I pulled it out and now that chunk will sit outside until someone who thinks it is cool takes it off my hands. Its a shame too, because the first cut looked really great, but the next 3 cuts got progressively worse.
After I pulled it out I put what I assumed was going to be a dud from Keenan Camp AZ. So far it turned out to be the only keeper from that entire site.

Seems like the stuff from up there either is or it ain't, not much middle ground. When you say Keenan camp is that on the east or west side of 93. So far my collecting there has been between mile 11 and 13 on burro creek crossing road, but I was told about one further up and another out by Nothing. When it cools after the monsoons we plan to explore more.

Keenan Camp is actually off of Alamo lake Road west of 93 . from 93 take signal road across to Alamo lake road turn south about 7 miles and go west on the powerline road .

The Keenan Camp I am talking about is the one on top of the mountain that you have to drive through all of those washes and you pass that thing made out of railroad ties.

Mark K that describes 80% of arizona collection sites Except the RR tie structure, probably only a dozen or so of them.
