The 8SE is a damn great scope! I am using the Player One Uranus-C camera (IMX 585 chip) I am using an old Vivitar 3X teleconverter as a barlow. Its cheap as hell and laughs at more expensive barlows.

I suspect for polished rocks, a dslr with a macro lens is first, and a polarizing lens to deal with refelctions
