Beautiful! The crazy lace is really something! The laguna is not too shabby either!

Butchering has a bad connotation so step one was identifying the primal cuts. Step two trimming the primal cuts.

Are those cracks you highlighted before marking cab locations? Good idea. I noticed there weren't many cracks in the crazy lace. I only got some once for tumbling and it looked like they must have used dynamite to get it out because there were cracks everywhere.

I mark fractures and all areas I want to avoid. I bought a huge piece of Laguna rough some years ago. It had a large crystal vug. I got it for a good price. As the slabs were being cut, I thought I hit the motherlode. After wiping the oil off, I saw all the fractures. I also noticed that the pattern changed a lot between sides making design very difficult.

The interesting thing is, As a whole item or the cut pieces, the lace looks stunning!
