Those really shaped up nice. Do you run ceramic media with them?

Those really shaped up nice. Do you run ceramic media with them? Yes. Started with 5lbs. First 2 weeks in 60/90 - Had a QT6 a little more than 3/4 full with no ceramic. Had about 5-6 stones that didn't fit. Next 2 weeks in 60/90 - QT6 3/4 full about 25-30% ceramic. Next 2 weeks in 60/90 - Moved it down to a 45C 3/4 full about 30-40% ceramic. Still in the 45C Currently in 120/220 for one week its about 40-50% ceramic at this point. I'll probably do another week of 120/220 then move it over to the Lot-O

Good job on a material which seemingly likes to undercut! I love the color tones in those!

Good job on a material which seemingly likes to undercut! I love the color tones in those! Thanks! Yeah I already did 2 rounds from 220-polish in the Lot-O. It seems to pit during the polish stage. I was careful the second time around and rinsed them with hot water - let them dry - and inspected the surface. After 1000AO all but 1 was perfectly smooth. Then after polish they were all pitted . . . It could be I had it too dry in the Lot-O for the polish stage, or maybe I need a different polishing method?? I decided to take a break from them and give them a go again in a few weeks. I'm thinking of going back to 220 in the Lot-O then I'll finish it off in the rotary. 500AO followed by 1000AO, then I might try to polish it with some tripoli mixed with leather in the rotary?? I'll ponder on it . . .

I wonder if anyone has ever tried to dry polish? I have this blue quartz and I have the dumerorite which is super porous. This is my first time so I think I'll take it to stage 3 and then try a dry polish?
