I saw this on fb described as Royal Sahara. I commented that it looked like Deschutes and the seller got pissed at me. A customer asked me if I had picked up any Blue Biggs slab. I decided to go to ebay and look for Blue Biggs and Deschutes. While looking, I found this on Ebay listed as Deschutes. I sent the seller a message about this and his response was that he banned me on FB and that I was causing him trouble. He was clearly unhinged and I replied that I didn't expect a response to what I just wrote and if I got one I would send the message string to ebay.

Looks more like royal sahara to me. I guess there may be similarities, a lot of what I saw on ebay listed as Deschutes didn't at all look like what I call Deschutes. The wording of his description screams "don't buy from this guy!!!" Like blaming USPS ahead of time for poorly packaged slabs getting broken in the mail?

I have dealt with him before. He is really hostile in his comments to people via the feedback section. Some of his responses though sounded understandable, like he was just exhausted from dealing with bad customers who don’t read the listing info before buying, and then complain later. So I went ahead and bought a couple items from him. I didn’t need to interact for any reason. But his shipment literally came with seeds all over in the packaging. Not like a little packet of gift seeds, but just a dirty box, seeds and other grassy debris. If I was buying rough that I knew was outside in a big pile I’d be fine with some dirt. But I bought nice slabs, that were individually wrapped, so it threw me off a bit to have all this yard debris and seeds fall out of the package. 🤷♀️

People sometimes can be really odd
The only thing that looks off is the size. Isn't Royal Sahara Jasper usually roundish (potatoes) nodules

Deschutes has a lot of different looks. Some of it similar to Blue Biggs and some very different. I am very familiar with it. I am not nearly as familiar with Royal Sahara variations. The material I've bought is darker. A Deschutes cab I made. Working Deschutes vs Royal Sahara is very different. Royal Sahara is much harder. Deschutes has a smell when being ground. My only comment on FB was that it looked like Deschutes, not that is Deschutes. His response on FB was that they can look similar and then he blocked me. The id is not relevant. He changed it so he wasn't absolutely convinced. His behavior was unacceptable.
