I was just finishing up the touches on a nice old Frantom cabbing machine with a slab saw on one end. When I dropped the saw table onto the tank with the new 10 inch blade thinline installed, the blade in binding and tight on one side. I could , but I would rather not file out the slot for the blade for clearance. How are spindles installed. Was it a press fit or threaded oe? ?. Thanking you for your help

Unless you can see an obvious shoulder that will prevent the shaft from moving in the correct direction, I'd suspect you can move it as needed with a press or hammer blows (cushioned with a block of wood). I had to adjust an arbor for an HP trim saw for the same reason.

I cant see a shoulder, so it must be a press fit. There is a little space between the spindle and the shaft. Thanks
